For some reason, they have decided to sell this for Kindle without formatting it for Kindle.There's no table of contents. Some of the font choices simply do not make sense for electronic reading. Many of the diagrams do not work on all kindle readers (and are not captioned). No one considered navigation.It's a chore to get to the content.
I think this is definitely a good resource to understanding the format and types of questions that will be asked on the exam, however, even as a beginner programer I am finding a ton of errors. The good news is that if you can figure out the error, you can be assured that you have a good understanding of SAS programming. If you are looking to take the certification exam I would skim through this and also look for some online resources.
I have looked for this edition of this book in various sites. But this was the cheapest price I could find. Totally satisfied with the quality and the price.
There seems to be a lot of errors in the book. In one example code, the title specified in the code is different than what is shown for the output. In another example code, two variables are specified to be kept from the SET Statement, a subsetting IF Statement on a variable not kept, and then the output has 5 variables. I am just beginning learning SAS and this book is making me wonder how much bad information I am receiving from it. The exam and program is extremely nitpicky (as it should be) and I expect an official prep guide to be just as nitpicky.
